Thank you for agreeing to be a Day-Of volunteer for your team
and for the Western PA Odyssey of the Mind program!

Through the generosity of time and talent, our volunteers help make our competitions run smoothly - and they make it a fun atmosphere! We hope you’ll find volunteering to be a satisfying and uplifting experience.
​
As a Day-Of volunteer either for our Regional Competition or our Spontaneous Fun Day, you are fulfilling your team's requirement. It is important that you arrive on time and fulfill your duties.
Top 10 things Day-of Volunteers should know
1. Teams are required to provide one Day-of Volunteer to work a short shift during the Regional Competition and one Day-of Volunteer to work the entire event of Spontaneous Fun Day (if the teams participate.)

2. Teams who do not provide the Day-of Volunteer or whose Day-of Volunteer does not show up, risk getting a penalty. Please keep your commitment. Your role is very important.

3. REGISTRATION:

If you are volunteering to work at the WPA Regional Tournament or work Spontaneous Fun Day as part of team's requirement, your coach will register you.

If you are not affiliated with a team, and plan to volunteer for either of these events, you need to register yourself via this link.
4. For the Regional Tournament: Day-of Volunteers choose their own shift. Please link HERE to reserve an available timeslot. Volunteers not self-scheduled one week prior to the Tournament will be assigned a timeslot and expected to fulfil the commitment.

5. For Spontaneous Fun Day: Day-of Volunteers will be given their assignment and only need to arrive at the given time.
​
6. Students may sign-up as volunteers for any WPA Odyssey event and receive Community Service Hours. Please use this LINK to relay your availability. You will be utilized where there is a need. Thank you!

7. Day-of Volunteers can be found selling raffle tickets, selling merchandise, directing traffic, giving directions, running scores, and more.
​
8. Volunteers may be required for the State Tournament.
​
9. Volunteers will NOT miss their team's long term performance!
​
10. Being a volunteer makes you a fun & helpful face of Odyssey!
